November 27, 2001 - POLIFAN(R) flap discs are available in sizes of 2 and 3 in. dia., in flat and conical styles, and in zirconia grain with grit range 24 through 120. Discs are able to grind and finish in one step, and stay aggressive throughout life of disc. Flap discs do not require backing, run cooler, and are suitable for use on all materials.

PFERD INC. INTRODUCES NEW POLIFAN R MINI FLAP DISCS
November 10, 2001 - Leominster, MA -- Joining the popular PFERD POLIFANR family of flap discs are two new smaller diameter sizes, 2" and 3". These mini flap discs are available as both flat and conical styles in Zirconia grain, grit range 24 through 120. Like standard POLIFAN discs, POLIFAN R Mini offers significant advantages over quick change fiber discs:
- Outlasts conventional quick change discs up to 20 to 1
- More aggressive; able to grind and finish in one step
- Stays aggressive throughout the life of the disc
- Does not require a backing
- Cooler grinding than conventional quick-change discs
- Suitable for use on all materials
R POLIFAN Mini may be used with a special adapter designed for the discs. As an alternative, they are also compatible with PFERD COMBIDISC RType CD backing pads in 2" and 3" diameters.
