Mini Door Lock Receptacles permit wide assembly tolerances.

Press Release Summary:

Incorporating contact beam technology, surface mount Mini Door Lock Receptacles provide PCB-to-PCB, PCB-to-Fuse, and PCB-to-Terminal interconnections. Units are designed for insertion/withdrawal repeatability and demonstrate resistance to permanent deformation, even when mating tab or terminal is misaligned. Using 0.015-0.032 in. thick terminals, locks enable top, bottom, and horizontal mating. Devices withstand rigors of repeated mating cycles, shock, vibration, and temperature cycling.

A More Forgiving Receptacle Permits Wide Assembly Tolerances

Zierick Manufacturing Corporation, a leader in the development of interconnection technology, introduces surface mount mini door lock receptacles. Designed for insertion/withdrawal repeatability and demonstrating a high resistance to permanent deformation (even when the mating tab or terminal is misaligned), these receptacles are the first of their kind on the market and incorporate desirable contact beam technology. This technology enables the mini door locks to accommodate out-of-tolerance assemblies and still provide reliable interconnections. They are ideal when simultaneously mating multiple tabs such as custom terminal stampings, insert molded housings, relays, switches, and automotive blade-type fuses. They are able to withstand the rigors of repeated mating cycles, shock, vibration, and temperature cycling.

The mini door locks provide reliable PCB-to-PCB, PCB-to-Fuse, and PCB-to-Terminal interconnections. They enable top, bottom, and horizontal mating with applications using 0.015" - 0.032" (0.38mm-0.81mm) thick terminals. Zierick's SMT mini door locks are available in loose and tape & reel formats for use with SMT placement systems.
