32-Bit Microprocessor System Module
Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) is introducing its 32-bit microprocessor system module SOM 5307 , which is used in a wide range of embedded applications including digital image processing, communication protocols, programming technology, NISE technology and DSP technology.
The advanced module, model 5307, consists of a 90MHz 23-bit Coldfire M5307 CPU with a processing capacity of 75MIPS and a 16MB SDRAM (2MB flash memory). It offers one 10M Ethernet 10BASET interface (RJ45), two asynchronous serial-ports (UART), one I2C bus interface, a real-time clock, 4-channel DMA and dual 16-bit timers. The module transports data through two 84-line connectors. Additionally, combining with its significantly small credit card size, it is perfect for embedded applications especially for loading and running an embedded Linux operating system.
