Dolomite Launches Mitos P-Pump Basic

Providing a simple, reliable and cost effective solution for pulseless liquid flow

Royston, UK - Following the global success of the Mitos P-Pump, microfluidics expert Dolomite has launched the Mitos P-Pump Basic offering a flexible and cost effective solution for microfluidic systems operating from nl/min to ml/min.

Using the innovative pulseless Mitos P-Pump technology, the Mitos P-Pump Basic features data logging and control via free PC software. With excellent response time and accuracy, it is ideal for use with viscous liquids and microfluidic systems where highly stable flow is required for applications such as cell manipulation, microreactions and droplet formation.

Operating over a wide pressure range of 0 - 10bar, the Mitos P-Pump Basic offers smooth fluid flow increasing quality and stability of microfluidic experiments, such as droplet generation, compared to traditional syringe pump technology. The pump also features a lockable pressure chamber which is easily accessible and accommodates a wide range of standard and non-standard fluid vessels. With the ability to contain samples from 100µl to 30ml, the Mitos P-Pump Basic uses fluid directly from the container eliminating sample waste.

The Mitos P-Pump Basic can be used together with Dolomite's Mitos Flow Rate Sensor and Sensor Display Basic allowing users to measure micro-scale flow rates. Unique experimental profiles can be easily set up using LabVIEW(TM).
