December 3, 2009 - Based on measurement of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), Quench-Gone Organic Modified (QGO-M) is designed for microbial counting in organic-based samples such as metalworking emulsions, fuels, and lubrication fluids. It offers provisions to separate organics prior to analysis, allowing measurement of total microbiological concentration without assay interference. Recognized as ASTM Standard (E 2694) for measurement of ATP, test method removes inhibition and increases sensitivity.

LuminUltra Technologies Ltd is proud to officially introduce the latest addition to their product line-up: Quench-Gone Organic Modified (QGO-M). Quench-Gone Organic Modified (QGO-M) is based on the measurement of ATP and is designed for rapid microbial counting in organic-based samples, such as metalworking emulsions, fuels, latex polymers, lubrication fluids and oil tank bottom water.

Fredericton, NB - LuminUltra Technologies Ltd is proud to officially introduce the latest addition to their product line-up: Quench-Gone Organic Modified (QGO-M).

Quench-Gone Organic Modified (QGO-M) is based on the measurement of ATP and is designed for rapid microbial counting in organic-based samples.

QGO-M includes special provisions to separate organics prior to analysis, allowing you to quickly measure total microbiological concentration using this kit with a wide detection range and no assay interference. QGO-M is used to detect total microbiological activity in metalworking emulsions, fuels, latex polymers, lubrication fluids and oil tank bottom water.

In addition, the QGO-M test method is recognized as an ASTM Standard (E 2694) for the measurement of ATP in Metalworking Fluids.

Quench-Gone technology from LuminUltra(TM) is based on the measurement of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). ATP is a direct and interference-free indicator of total living biomass. ATP is measured using the firefly luciferase assay, where a sample containing ATP is introduced to a solution containing the enzyme Luciferase, which naturally occurs in the tails of fire flies, to produce light. The light is detected in a Luminometer. The more light that is counted, the more ATP is present and thus the greater the concentration of microorganisms.

QGO-M uses a filtration-based analysis to concentrate the biomass contained in water sample and separate out organic compounds, thereby removing inhibition and increasing sensitivity. This quick and easy test provides an accurate measure of Cellular ATP (cATPTM).
