Micro Wi-Fi Security System lets administrator monitor user activity and provides information about Wi-Fi access through authorized web account. Downloadable software automatically detects security setting changes, warns Wi-Fi user, and sends details to server-level Secured Web Account. In unsecured/secured WLAN, Micro WSS can detect additional users and send email alerts with IP/MAC addresses. Solution also keeps track of user activities in computer.

Micro Technologies launches Micro Wi-Fi Security System
Delhi, November 19, 2008: To keep fast pace with technology utilization for the masses Micro Technologies (India) Ltd. has come up with Micro Wi-Fi Security System (WSS). Micro WSS was launched by Mr. Vijay Mukhi, e-Security Consultant. The internet guru & e-Security Consultant, Vijay Mukhi, says, "Today, security is no longer confined to the domain of physical security, and e-security has gained an increased importance. This has led to the use of Wi-Fi technology for terrorist activities. Therefore, a technology like 'Micro Wi-Fi' will create a boom in the market & help to curb such crimes".

It allows the administrator to monitor the activity of the user and provide information about Wi-Fi access through the authorized web account. Micro WSS automatically detects the change of security settings and warns the Wi-Fi user and send the details on to the Server level Secured Web Account of the user. In an unsecured/secured WLAN, Micro WSS can detect any addition of a user and also sends alert email containing the IP & MAC address assigned to the machine and the user respectively. The user can be identified using the MAC address and relatively the administrator can identify the router details which the user has accessed. Micro WSS also maintains the track of user activities in a computer with a facility of sending regular updates like individual file and the time of access and changes made to each file to authorized individuals. Micro WSS can both monitor e-communications based on keywords and phrases.
But using a 'Wi-Fi' network is not always safe. Ethical hackers & computer experts hack personal accounts with criminal intentions. Mishaps of hacking of Wi-Fi networks by terrorists have brought the issue of network security at the forefront. Many recent threat mails from the terrorist group Indian Mujahiddin have been executed by hacking email accounts. The Indian Mujahiddin group claimed all the recent attacks of Delhi, Ahmedabad and other places. The group immediately shot an email to a media house minutes after the blast and claimed responsibility of the blast.
Many colleges, hotels, cafeterias, shopping malls have Wi-Fi connections that are easily intruded. And most of them are not even aware of such threats.
