EQUOTIP® BAMBINO - Innovative Hardness Testing One-Handed
Switzerland, September 2007
The customers define Proceq's range of customized hardness testing solutions. Proceq SA is pleased to announce the official launch of the EQUOTIP® BAMBINO, to compliment its premium version, the PICCOLO (2005/06 launch). Thus, Proceq meets market expectations to offer its highly-portable metal hardness tester to an even wider field of customers, where the PICCOLO's extended functionality is traded in for a favorable pricing of the BAMBINO.
Even though the revolutionary EQUOTIP® technique was invented at Proceq already 32 years ago, there still is much space for rapid innovation and practical improvements in portable hardness testing. Proceq has never been as forceful and competent as today in providing "handy hardness testing anywhere on-site": 2005 was the year of our basic tester, the EQUOPEN®; in 2006, Proceq rolled out the modern one-hand design of the EQUOTIP® PICCOLO to the market; in March of 2007, Proceq showcased the brand-new mini computer EQUOTIP® 3 - and today the fully-integrated EQUOTIP® BAMBINO is added to the range of metal hardness testers.
The BAMBINO combines modern electronics with a new patented impact device that integrates the release trigger into the charging mechanism. The stand-alone tester does not require a separate indicating device, cable, or PC hardware: Its menu-driven electronics and innovative features make the BAMBINO the most ergonomic and easy-to-use integrated rebound hardness tester available.
Automatic recognition of the impact direction and self diagnostics make testing with the BAMBINO almost foolproof. The large easy-to-read LCD display shows the individual readings and mean test results. All common hardness conversions are included. Like for the PICCOLO, test parameters can be set via the 3-button keypad. The internal Li-ion battery can be recharged through the USB port or using the external charger.
A customer can upgrade from the BAMBINO to the PICCOLO at any time, thereby expanding the functionality of the BAMBINO to include the internal non-volatile data storage of 2,000 test results, the on-screen provision of test statistics and the option of customer-specific conversion functions. Full bi-directional communication via the USB interface and the PICCOLINK software permit an efficient data transfer, remote control of the device and free online HW/SW upgrading.
Designed and manufactured with the same quality and robust construction EQUOTIP® users expect, the BAMBINO ensures long-term reliability and accurate test results.
All this and more in a package that weighs just 110g and measures only 145x44x20 mm.
