Larson Electronics Releases a Class 1 Division 1 Quadpod Mounted Metal Halide Light Tower
Larson Electronics, an industrial lighting company, has added to its extensive range of lighting equipment with the release of a 70 watt metal halide explosion proof quadpod mounted work light.
The EPL-BS-70-TP1-100 explosion proof work light from Larson Electronics is a quadpod mounted light that provides 7,000 square feet of work area coverage with 5,500 lumens of light. This portable light tower has a removable light head assembly mounted on top of a four leg aluminum quadpod equipped with wheels for easy positioning from one work space to another. This adjustable and collapsible quadpod can be extended to twelve feet and collapsed to five and a half feet. The light assembly on this unit can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport.
The 70 watt metal halide light fixture mounted atop the portable mast is constructed of thick copper free aluminum alloy powder coated with a thermoset finish, making it ideal for use in marine environments. The lamp assembly includes a 70 watt metal halide bulb, internal ballast, and an aluminum finished reflector. The lens is constructed of thermal shock and impact resistant tempered glass. The metal halide lamp has no filament and is highly resistant to damage from shocks and vibrations, reducing the chances of lamp failure if the unit is accidently knocked over.
Included with this LED light is 100 feet of SOOW cord, which combined with the adjustability offered by the LED light head, provides ample length for tower placement and optimal coverage of the workspace. This tower also has an optional explosion proof cord cap to make an easy connection to explosion proof outlets. The EPL-BS-70-TP1-100 is a heavy duty unit designed for use in inclement conditions and for overall longevity in difficult construction environments with heavy duty aluminum construction and stainless steel hardware for maximum durability.
