A new line of strippers for soak bath processes that remove TiN, TiCN, CrN and TiAIN-multilayer coatings from carbides, composites of carbides, and tool steels without damaging the base material is being introduced by Technotrade International, Inc. of Manchester, New Hampshire.
Deconex® De-coat metal coating strippers are chemically formulated to strip specific coatings from specific substrates in either cold- or hot-process baths, depending upon formulation. Developed to protect the integrity of the base material and extend tool life, they permit the re-coating of TiN, TiCN, CrN and TiAIN-multilayer coatings on carbides, composites of carbides, and HSS (high speed steel), PM-, and other tool steels.
Allowing tools and high-wear parts to be re-coated several times, Deconex® De-coat metal coating strippers are highly concentrated; typically 3 to 5% dilution. Applications include forming tools, drill bits, end mills, hobs, cutting inserts, pins, punches, bushings, and other wear parts.
Deconex® De-coat metal coating strippers are priced from $9.95 per kg, depending upon the formulation and quantity; offered in 1 to 200 kg sizes. Samples are available upon request.
