EMG Release 7.0 Generates New Revenue and Reduces Operating Expenditures

EMG can easily rate and charge for premium SMS and MMS content that contain information such as stock quotes, sports news, and horoscopes from MVNOs and third party content providers. EMG additionally supports numerous value-added messaging services (VAS) such as televoting, spam control, content filters, message backup, corporate message routing, group broadcast, and pre-packaged bundles of messages based on criteria such as corporate department, family group, destination country, or time of day.
EMG Release 7.0 supports premium Short Messaging Service (pSMS) to provide subscribers with the ability to use short codes to purchase content over their mobile phone. It also enables wireless operators to host multiple MVNOs and off-net third party content providers. With new support for Regular Expression (REGEX) rules in the main rating engine, EMG 7.0 reduces operator needs for specialized training while allowing them to quickly launch and easily maintain flexible rating rules.

Flexible rating and charging
Redknee's Synaxis(TM) EMG solution provides a comprehensive solution for rating mobile SMS, MMS, and premium content messages. Each message can easily be charged in real-time based on the subscriber's class, service type (i.e. VPN), birthday, or originating and destination address. Flexible rating and charging is a key capability in helping network operators increasing their revenue potential.
EMG simplifies third party management
Redknee EMG lowers the amount of routing between content providers (CP) and message centers, thereby lowering costs and simplifying the network operator's architecture. EMG also has extensive CP management functionalities including revenue sharing. EMG integrates easily using standards-based APIs allowing for the rapid launching of new services MVNOs and 3rd party content providers.
EMG reduces cost per message
Redknee's EMG solution offloads existing SMS-Cs by handling routing and first shot delivery capability for all messages. 80% of text messages get delivered on their first try and thus do not require the associated costs and overheads of storing and forwarding. EMG supports all key messaging protocols (SMPP, UCP, and MM7) and their interworking.
EMG protects privacy and reduces fraud
Redknee's EMG enables the operator or the subscriber to enforce message barring settings. Content (short codes) are classified in profiles and each subscribers can assign a combination of 32 barring plans to their personal profile. When barring profiles and barring plans match; content is barred for this subscriber. Barring plans can be either set by operator or by the subscriber.
