New Membrane Pump for High Capacity Customers

Tapflo TX 820

Tapflo is increasing the T series metal pump capacity with the launching of the new TX 820, a compressed air powered membrane pump made from aluminium. The pump has 820 litres per minute capacity, is ATEX approved and thus suitable for explosive environments.

TX 820 can transport liquids with neutral PH value, such as volatile alcohols to oils and viscous liquids such as paint and glue. Health-impairing liquids too, can be handled safely because the pump is hermetically sealed.

The new TX 820 pump from Tapflo is ideal for the transport of e.g. coolants and oils for the engineering industry. The pump is also suitable for the paint and glass industries and in sewage works for e.g. processing waste water and waste products from oil separators.

'The new pump has been developed to meet the requirements of both existing and new customers,' said Tapflo managing director, Håkan Ekstrand. 'Many customers are already waiting for our new pump.'

The compressed air driven membrane pumps of the Tapflo T series are built in cast-iron, stainless steel or aluminium. The new pump is made in from aluminium. Previously, the maximum capacity of T series metal pumps was 420 litres per minute. With the new TX series, where the "X" signifies that the pump is ATEX approved, Tapflo can now supply a pump in this series with a capacity of 820 litres per minute.

Bigger capacity with big potential

'We see big potential in our new pump owing to our large worldwide network,' continued Håkan Ekstrand. We have our own sales offices in 20 countries and are represented by independent sales companies in a further 30 countries.

The strength of the membrane pump lies in the fact that it does not require electric power, but can be run solely on compressed air or other suitable propellant gas. Moreover it is built using a minimum number of components, thus making the pumps very reliable and service requirements minimal.

'Increasing numbers of companies are using our pumps owing to the advantages of low running costs and minimal down time,' said Håkan Ekstrand. 'With the TX 820 we can now meet the demands of high capacity companies.'
