April 5, 2004 - Able to measure melt flow resistance (MFR) of thermoplastics, XNR-400 tabletop tester controls temperatures from 248–842ºF with built-in microprocessor that maintains control to within ±0.4ºF. Extruded material is automatically cut-off by built-in scraper mechanism at preset intervals, controllable to ±0.01 sec. Product is supplied with spare barrel, die, and all accessories and weights necessary for maintenance and operation.

Testing Machines Inc. Introduces Low Cost Melt Flow Indexer

Priced thousands below the competitors, TMI’s new XNR-400 Melt Flow Indexer is guaranteed to set a new precedence in the plastics industry.

RONKONKOMA, NY – March 2004 – Testing Machines Inc. introduces the NEW and AFFORDABLE XNR-400 Melt Flow Indexer. Measure the melt flow resistance (MFR) of a wide range of thermoplastics. This tabletop tester conforms to all National and International melt flow resistance standards, including BS EN ISO 1133 and ASTM D1238. Any temperature within 120ºC-450ºC (248ºF-842ºF) can be accurately controlled.

TMI’s XNR-400 Melt Flow Indexer has a built-in microprocessor that maintains the temperature control to within ±0.2ºC (±0.4ºF), with rapid ramp-up to set point. Extruded material is automatically cut-off by the built-in scraper mechanism at preset intervals, controllable to ±0.01 seconds.

Testing melt flow resistance has never been so economical or easy to do! The XNR-400 is supplied complete with spare barrel and die, plus all the accessories and weights necessary for maintenance and operation. Nothing else to buy—just plug it in and start testing!
