New, Expanded MelaFace® Collection of Thermalfused Melamine Panels Available Nationwide

Hanover, Md., August 22, 2002- The refreshingly unique collection of MelaFace® thermalfused melamine panels from Nevamar Company delivers new levels of design diversity and fabrication flexibility, with convenient national availability. Exciting, extraordinarily advanced new woodgrains and patterns have been developed for a total of 56 items in the standard line, created expressly for the furniture and fixture industry.

MelaFace® thermalfused melamine panels are highly resistant to moisture, stain, soiling and scuffing, with superior durability and wear resistance characteristics. Panels are thermalfused under intense heat and pressure to permanently bond the resin-saturated paper to the substrate for extraordinary strength and toughness. This makes them ideal for a wide range of vertical and horizontal applications, including store fixtures and displays, office and RTA furniture, kitchen and bath cabinetry, closet storage systems, and more.

MelaFace® offers additional options as well, including a choice of gloss or matte finishes. One-of-a-kind custom color matching to high pressure laminates, vinyls and other TFM products are facilitated by the company's state-of-the-art color laboratory and in-house printing capabilities.

MelaFace® thermalfused melamine panels provide many choices in construction, too. Panels can be ordered with decorative surfaces on both sides, or with a decorative surface on one side and a liner grade on the other. Paintable and gluable backs are also offered. Many choices of panel sizes and thicknesses are
available, and users may specify medium-density fiberboard over a regular particleboard core when additional strength is required. Designed for easy fabrication using basic woodworking tools, MelaFace® thermalfused melamine panels can be easily fastened using glue, staples, nails or screws.

MelaFace® thermalfused melamine panels are available nationally. For more information, contact (800) 638-4380, visit melaface.com or e-mail your request to nevamar.marketing@nevamar.com.
