June 1, 2009 - Suitable for any animal with tidal volumes of 30-350 µL and respiratory rates of 60-400 breaths/min, MiniVent features rod clamp that allows it to be positioned directly next to animal. Ventilator employs valveless rotary plunger that eliminates clogging during ventilation cycle. Inspiration and expiration is controlled by synchronized forward and rotating movement of cylinder and plunger. Compact and lightweight unit reduces tidal volume error due to system compliance to 3 µL.

Ideal Ventilator for Mice


Harvard Apparatus has introduced the MiniVent Ventilator specifically designed for mice.

The MiniVent is suitable for any animal with tidal volumes of 30-350 ul and respiratory rates of 60-400 breaths per minute.

Very quiet, compact, and light weight, this ventilator features a convenient rod clamp that allows the MiniVent to be positioned directly next to the animal.

The MiniVent employs a valveless rotary plunger that eliminates clogging during the ventilation cycle. A cleverly designed cylinder and plunger control inspiration and expiration with a synchronized forward and rotating movement.

This ventilator reduces tidal volume error due to system compliance to 3 ul.
