Medical Grade 300W PC Power Supply Ideal for 1U Installation
January 7, 2009 - Santa Clara, California, USA - Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower launches the 300W medical grade TMPC-300-1U, which has a height of 1.59 inches that makes the PC power supply suitable for 1U and other medical applications where height is limited.
With a wide 90-264 universal input and active PFC that complies with EN61000-3-2 standards, the TMPC-300-1U is UL, cUL, VDE, CE approved to UL 60601-1, EN 60601-1, and IEC 60601-1 medical standards. The power supply complies with EN60601-1-2 EMC standards, including EN55011/FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11. The unit is CE marked and RoHS compliant and meets EPS 1U 2.0 standards as well. Before delivery, the power supply withstands 100% burn-in test @ 50°C and 100% hi-pot test. It has an MTBF > 100,000 hours and earth leakage current of 170µA @264 VAC, typically.
The TMPC-300-1U has DC output voltages and maximum loads of +3.3V/16.0A, +5V/18.0A, +12V1/16.0A, +12V2/16.0A, -12V/0.5A, -5V/0.2A, +5Vsb/2.5A. The maximum overall output is 300W, with total output on +12V1, +12V2, +5V, +3.3V not exceeding 281W and total output on +3.3V, +5V limited to 120W. The efficiency of the unit is as high as 80% at full load. Measured at 7.48" x 3.94" x 1.59", the power supply comes with an on/off switch, a low noise ball-bearing fan, and a standard output cableset that can meet the requirements of most PC-related applications. But any other requirements of the cableset can be accommodated as well.
The unit features input line fuse, output overvoltage, overload and short circuit protections. Overvoltage protections are 3.5-4.8V for +3.3V, 5.5-7.0V for +5V, 13.4-15.8V for +12V1 and +12V2, respectively. Overload protection is 150% maximum of the rated output. Hold up time is 17 milliseconds minimum at full load, nominal input voltage and power fail signal delay time is 1 millisecond minimum. The power supply operates between 0°C-50°C and can be stored at -20°C-80°C.
