SmartScope ZIP 250 benchtop video system automatically measures manufactured parts without contact. Featuring auto-calibrating AccuCentric® 7:1 zoom lens, digital camera, and all-LED illumination, system offers 250 x 150 x 200 mm XYZ measurement volume, with 300 mm optional for X axis. Heavy-duty cast base with Y-axis center drive assures metrological stability. Optional DRS or TTL laser provides linear and area scans of surface contours.

OGP Introduces Redesigned SmartScope ZIP 250 to the Worldwide Metrology Marketplace
Rochester, NY, August 2006 - Optical Gaging Products, Inc. (OGP®) now offers a completely redesigned and updated SmartScope® ZIP 250 to the metrology marketplace. First unveiled in 1998, SmartScope ZIP 250 subsequently proved to be one of OGP's most popular and versatile benchtop video systems. It has recently been enhanced with the latest technologies to continue to satisfy the needs of manufacturers worldwide.
SmartScope ZIP 250 uses video imaging technology to automatically measure manufactured parts without contact. Its auto-calibrating AccuCentric® 7:1 zoom lens, new digital camera, and all-LED illumination provide accurate video measurements and improved image processing. This durable benchtop system offers a 250x150x200 mm XYZ measurement volume, with 300 mm optional in the X axis. ZIP 250 features fast stage speed and a heavy-duty cast base with Y-axis center drive to assure metrological stability, delivering maximum throughput and short cycle times without sacrificing accuracy.
As a major improvement, SmartScope ZIP 250 now supports other sensor technologies for full 3D measurement of edges, surfaces, and complex contours. An optional DRS or TTL laser provides linear and area scans of surface contours. The system can also be configured with touch probe for accessing recessed or hard-to-image features, or with unique micro-probes for measuring extremely small, fragile, or malleable parts of any material or color.
Known for its ease of use, supporting OGP metrology software uses point-and-click tools and provides complete 3D functionality to take full advantage of a multisensing environment. Capabilities may be enhanced with software options that include form fitting, SPC, 3D CAD translation, and custom report writing.
