New Falcon Video Measuring Microscope Flies into Production

New Milford, CT -- With over 50 years of proven optical experience, Vision Engineering has packed massive technical capabilities into the new Falcon 3-axis non-contact video measuring system, delivering performance you would expect to find on systems many times the price.

Designed to be simple but powerful, accurate but affordable, Falcon is suitable for both multi-user shop-floor use and advanced manufacturing inspection applications, delivering accurate results with complete confidence.

Focusing on accuracy, Falcon employs high resolution indexed zoom optics (up to 100x magnification) to provide enhanced component edge definition, with a unique indexed camera iris control to reduce depth of field, increasing accuracy and repeatability of Z-axis results, a common complaint of video systems.

Despite its compact size and small footprint, Falcon incorporates many advanced features designed to simplify operation and increase accuracy, including controllable quadrant LED illumination and motorized Z-axis control.

Vision Engineering's renowned precision measuring stages provide a measurement capacity of up to 150 x 150 x 115mm (X, Y, Z) and include factory-completed NLEC calibration as standard.

With a powerful, yet intuitive touch-screen color display, the built-in simplicity means that expensive training costs are minimized, with automatic video edge detection ensuring reproducible measurement results, irrespective of the operator.
