September 12, 2006 - Featuring built-in electronics, motorized zoom optics, and high-resolution color camera, self-contained StarLite(TM) System provides 6 x 3 x 5 in. XYZ capacity to accommodate critical parts and tooling. System has cast aluminum base and column, and uses white light LED VectorLight(TM) and backlight illuminators for optimal imaging. Additional features include 1 micron resolution linear scales, coarse/fine manual stage positioning, and electronic edge detection and focus indicators.

NEW StarLite: A Self-contained Measurement Station


June 2006, Rochester, NY - RAM Optical Instrumentation, Inc. (ROI®) introduces the StarLite(TM) measurement system, a compact non-contact inspection system with built-in electronics, ergonomic design, motorized zoom optics, and high resolution color camera. Its 6" x 3" x 5" XYZ capacity accommodates critical parts and tooling.

The StarLite is built for precision measurement, with a sturdy cast aluminum base and column. It uses high fidelity white light LED VectorLight(TM) and back light illuminators for optimal imaging. One micron resolution linear scales, coarse/fine manual
stage positioning, selectable cross-hair targets, and electronic edge detection and focus indicators are all standard features.

The StarLite measurement system will be featured at IMTS 2006 in RAM Optical booth #D-4619.
