September 27, 2005 - Shock resistive RP Custom Resistive Chain Level Measurement Sensors operate with float that travels up and down vertical stem. Permanent magnet inside float acts on series of reed switches and resistors inside stem, and sensor converts resistance value into voltage and current signals proportional to level of liquid. Models are available in lengths and materials of construction defined by user, with variety of American and international mounting configurations available.

New Custom Measurement Sensors for Bulk Product Industries

LOGAN, UT - Scientific Technologies, Inc., Automation Products Group, introduces RP Custom Resistive Chain Level Measurement Sensors. These highly reliable measuring sensors are shock resistive and have an anti-stick float design. Users provide specifications based on their particular application, thus enabling the devices to work with precision in a variety of industries.

RP level sensors have numerous applications in bulk liquid product industries such as chemical, oil, food processing, waste treatment and shipping. Models are available in lengths and materials of construction defined by the user, with a wide variety of available American and international mounting configurations. The products have been evaluated to the applicable CSA and ANSI/UL Standards, for use in general purpose and hazardous locations in Canada and the United States.

The sensors operate with a float that travels up and down a vertical stem. A permanent magnet inside the float acts on a series of closely set reed switches and resistors inside the stem. The sensor converts the resistance value into voltage and current signals proportional to the level of the liquid.

STI's Automation Products Group serves the factory automation, semiconductor, transportation, oil and gas, consumer and food processing industries with a diversified offering of sensing technologies. Products include level, flow, pressure sensing, positioning transducers, vehicle separation, profiling and ultrasonic sensors and controls.
