Instron® Introduces the Newest Version of Bluehill® Software

Instron, a leading provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, announces the release of Bluehill 3 Testing Software. This new software package provides a wide range of tailored application solutions to meet the demands of any level of user from educators and test technicians to quality engineers and laboratory managers. This newest version of Instron's widely popular Bluehill Software is compatible with all Instron 5500 and 5900 Series Testing Systems.

Do you want to find ways to increase efficiency in your lab? Bluehill 3 offers users the option to configure a test method that can be launched directly from the desktop and to start running tests without ever interacting with a keyboard or mouse.

Do you want to have the flexibility to design tests? Existing customers whose applications require user-defined calculations will love the new Expression Builder feature that allows significantly increased usability and power. Further, the Expression Builder can be used in calculation domains, expressionable control fields, and for creating user-defined measurements.

Do you want to increase the accuracy and reproducibility of results produced in your lab day after day? If you have more than one load cell or more than one extensometer, you may be interested to know that Bluehill 3 can identify those transducers and allow them to be linked with individual test methods to ensure that the correct load cell is used with your test.

Finally, do you edit or create methods at least once a month? If you are like most software users, you appreciate a software package that provides help without you asking for it. The help system in Bluehill software has been completely revamped to include: user-assisted text providing immediate assistance on every method page; navigation assistance for method development and editing; calculation animations; and examples of commonly performed procedures that are included in the reference help. Finally, use the Bluehill 3 User Community Blog to search for training tips, frequently asked questions or to post your own question to the product manager.
