Production Technology Featured at Minster's Metalform 2003 Booth

MINSTER, OH -- Visitors to Metalform 2003, March 23-26 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Il., will have a chance to view one of the most advanced material forming systems available at The Minster Machine Company's Booth No. 414.

Minster will be exhibiting a complete press line in full production, featuring a Minster E2H-350 Press. An additional display will feature Minster's MEF2-CS Electric Feed.

The E2H-350 will be producing parts in conjunction with a complete Minster material handling line consisting of an MEF5-32S Electric Feed, MTT12-32S Thread Table, MSH30-32-7 Straightener, MRH20-38S Reel, and an MCCH-35 Coil Car.

Minster's Production Management Control will integrate all the control and diagnostic functions of the entire coil line and press into a user-friendly touch screen. The PMC features tool storage for up to 150 job settings, which automatically set all job parameters in the press and coil line based on tool number.

The new E2H design features high tensile iron castings for all the major components for the ultimate in vibration dampening. The Quick Access Slide Mechanism provides instant access to the die area and the ability to release die jams, eliminating the need for hydraulic tie rods. Eight-point hydrostatic gibbing on the E2H provides unparalleled stiffness.

The E2H-350 in production during Metalform will feature the Alternative Slide Motion (ASM) option for reduced slide velocity in the working angle of the stroke with a faster return velocity in the non-working portion of the stroke allowing for increased press speed and increased parts production for specific applications.

Also featured will be Minster's value-packed MEF2-CS Electric Feed, a bracket-mounted feed designed to feed most materials up to .130" thick.

The MEF2-CS incorporates a combination of features that provide the user with efficiency, accuracy and high reliability without a high price tag.
