Intelligent Micro Patterning, LLC Announces New Product: The SF-100 XPRESS Maskless Lithography System

Intelligent Micro Patterning, LLC, St. Petersburg, Florida, announced a new product today, the SF-100 XPRESS maskless exposure system.

The SF-100 XPRESS system is closely related to the company's wildly successful SF-100 XTREME maskless lithography system. Both are built on the same base platform and offer the same 1 micron minimum feature size. However, the SF-100 XPRESS offers fewer standard features, providing a lower base price and allowing the user to custom configure the system with many options to meet their specific requirements. As with all of the company's microlithography products, the SF-100 XPRESS utilizes patented Smart Filter technology, licensed by Intelligent Micro Patterning, LLC from the University of South Florida. Smart Filter technology incorporates proprietary, cutting-edge, micro-optical techniques to rapidly project master images directly onto diverse substrate materials. The systems serve researchers and manufacturers in many market segments including biotechnology, Rf & Microwave devices, microfluidics, microchemistry, nanotechnology and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS).

Dr. Jay Sasserath, the Company's Chief Executive Officer, stated, "The SF-100 XPRESS is a great addition to our product line, offering a simpler system to customers who do not require all of the features included with the SF-100 XTREME. This simplicity allows the user to customize their system for their specific process requirements, while reducing the user's initial costs. However, since the SF-100 XPRESS can be fully upgraded at their site to an SF-100 XTREME, our customers can expand their capabilities as their technical requirements dictate and financial resources allow, so they are never limited in their research and development activities. Initial market research on this system has been very positive and we expect to see significant growth in sales and profitability from this new product line."
