Raymarine Debuts Day and Night Marine Video Camera

Raymarine Onboard Video Cameras Monitor the Vessel and Its Surroundings from the Helm

MERRIMACK, N.H. and MIAMI, Feb. 16 - Miami International Boat Show -- Raymarine, Inc., the world leader in marine electronics, today announced its powerful onboard day and night marine video camera. When combined with Raymarine's E-Series this robust video observation system can monitor onboard activity taking place anywhere on the boat. Multiple cameras can also be used to receive a total view of the vessel and its surroundings.

"Raymarine's marine cameras provide peace of mind on the water, giving boaters a real-time view of the crew, engine rooms, decks and the surrounding environment," said Terry Carlson, president of Raymarine. "Our newest product to accompany the E-Series displays plays an integral role in ensuring maximum safety on the water. We remain committed to bringing products and technologies to market that help increase the security of our customers."

The marine camera uses a very high resolution CCD element to provide an outstanding true color image in daylight. In dark conditions, a light sensor automatically switches on Infrared (IR) LEDs, providing a crisp and clear black and white night-vision-mode. The camera also includes built-in Anti-IR focus distortion technology for night viewing and allows boaters to see up to 15 meters in total darkness.

In addition to the plug and play compatibility with Raymarine E-Series, main features of Raymarine's onboard day and night marine video camera include: excellent color reproduction; rugged waterproof housing; a fixed mount; 12V DC input; and a BNC connector. The technology is available in NTSC and PAL versions, offering extremely high resolution, and waterproof extension cables are available for purchase.
