March 25, 2002 - MM 400 Module-Mation(TM) Manufacturing Cell, with 40 Taper tooling, is capable of 10 HP milling cuts in aluminum, steel, and cast iron. It is available with linear guides or hardened steel ways. Spindle options include indexing turret head, and belt-driven or integrally motorized spindle with up to 24,000 RPM. Rigid, inverse I-beam, bifurcated, cast-iron column rotates 90 deg for heavy-duty, side-mounted spindle cuts.

New MM 400 Module-Mation (Trademark) Manufacturing Cell Chosen For Dial Machine Application

Grafton, WI, March 6, 2002 (For Immediate Release) - Russell T. Gilman, Inc., an SKF Company, is pleased to announce that its MM 400 Module-Mation Manufacturing Cell has been chosen for a dial machine application by a Midwest custom machine tool manufacturer. The new dial machine design includes three MM 400 Module-Mation stations and a load/unload station. Additional photographs can be seen on the Gilman web site at www.rtgilman.com.

With a three dimensional 400 mm of travel, the Series 400 Module-Mation 3-axis module is designed to fill the need for a standardized, economical cell that is capable of 10 HP milling cuts in aluminum, steel or cast iron with 40 Taper tooling. The reconfigurable features of Module-Mation keep costs down and versatility up. The module is available with either linear guides or hardened steel ways. Spindle options include an indexing turret head, a belt-driven or an integrally motorized spindle with up to 24,000 RPM are interchangeable and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Its rigid, inverse I-beam bifurcated cast iron column can rotate 90 degrees for extra
heavy-duty side mounted spindle cuts.

Integration service options include CNC controls, plumbing, wiring, limit switches, and training. Both a 7.5 HP, 300 mm travel Model 300 and a 30 HP, 650 mm travel Model 650 Module-Mation Series are part of the Module-Mation product line.
