Devilbiss Announces Family of Compact Performance Series(TM)

Conventional, HVLP & Trans-Tech Provide Superior Finish, Highest Transfer Efficiency Rates for Manual Spray Guns

January, 2007, Glendale Heights, IL - DeVilbiss announces a new family of manual spray guns using advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to enhance the atomization process and provide a superior finish with one of the highest transfer efficiency rates available today.

The DeVilbiss Conventional, HVLP and Trans-Tech Spray Guns are all built for ergonomic comfort, energy savings and superior transfer efficiencies.

"Our design engineers used the latest CFD technology to model the passageways and air caps in the new Compact Spray Guns to reduce turbulence and enhance the atomization process," said Chuck Scott, DeVilbiss Industrial Marketing Manager. "The smooth transition from the Compact's air cap and fluid nozzle system to the finishing surface produces superior results with the highest transfer efficiency rates. The spray guns were also all designed for operator comfort and with a focus on environmental responsibility."

The Compact Performance Series includes:

o Advanced Conventional: The Compact's advanced conventional air caps make this gun the ideal performer in small operations or high volume facilities, providing improved finishing productivity.

o Trans-Tech: The Compact Trans-Tech is a robust, ultra light suction feed spray gun that ensures optimum coverage and paint usage savings. The Compact Trans-Tech spray gun is qualified for use in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SQAMD) under Rule 1136 for Wood Products Coatings based on the exemption in Rule 1136(l)(8)(A) when using compliant coating materials.

o HVLP: The Compact HVLP maintains EPA compliance and produces a superb finish for all types of solvent and waterborne materials, again in a light-bodied gun designed for operator comfort.

o Full Family of Models: Each of the Compact spray guns is available in suction, pressure and gravity feed models, for a wide range of applications.

All of the Compact Performance Series Spray Guns offer:

Superior Atomization.
Brass air caps and stainless steel fluid tips and needles provide superior atomization and universal compatibility with all industrial spray coatings.

Minimum Paint Volume.
Air passages are virtually clear of paint volume, eliminating contamination of nozzle threads.

No Baffle Design.
The reduced number of parts minimizes the weight of the gun, making it easier to control.

Ultra Lightweight Ergonomics.
Lighter than major competitive guns, it weighs only 14.6 ounces (412 grams).

Durability.
The forged aluminum alloy gun body offers a long working life.
