Safety features include 3:1 design factor for all structural components and pilot operated lock valve on lift cylinder.

Laurens, Iowa, U.S.A. – Positech™ introduces the Simple Air Manipulator Economy Series (SAM ES). The SAM ES offers a smooth, responsive manipulator, with a lifting capacity of 725 pounds, and it is designed with affordability and quality in mind.

The SAM ES also has a side-loading feature that allows the operator to extend the tooling and payload well beyond the end-of-the arm while rotating 330 degrees around the arm. The end-of-arm rotating axis has 7,000 inch-pounds of end-of-arm moment loading. For personal adjustment, the SAM ES offers drag brakes on three axes while leveling jacks are provided for ease of installation and leveling.
The SAM ES is designed to be operated with 90-psi clean and dry air. Lubrication-free cylinders are used for cleaner operation.
The SAM ES has several safety features including a 3:1 design factor for all structural components and a pilot operated lock valve on its lift cylinder. A Gripper Safety Circuitry that prevents the part from dropping until it is supported is standard. A Lost Load Cylinder that prevents uncontrolled vertical movement of the manipulator arms is also standard.
Currently, the SAM ES400 model is offered, which provides reach up to 121 inches and lifting capacity up to 725 pounds. Positech will soon offer other SAM ES models.
