New EX1200 Mainframe Expands Platform Scalability
Irvine, CA September 28, 2009 VTI Instruments Corporation announced today the release of the EX1268 mainframe, the latest addition to the EX1200 Precision Switch, Measure and Control product family. This platform now offers unmatched scalability and expansion capabilities by incorporating common switch, measure, and control modules, as well as common programming interfaces.
Extending the product line with this new mainframe provides test system designers with incredible flexibility, commented Tom Sarfi, VP of Business Development. Software and module reusability allows development efforts to be leveraged when additional capabilities and expansion are needed, saving time and money.
The EX1268 offers a full-featured 6.5 digit DMM and can accept up to 16 signal switching and I/O modules all in a compact 3U footprint. EX1200 modules can be used for design and validation where channel counts are typically small or during production where larger channel counts are needed for testing multiple units at the same time.
The EX1268 is LXI Class A-certified to ensure seamless interoperability with existing instruments. Its built-in web interface provides out-of-the-box operation without any additional software or programming. The powerful embedded scanning engine enables test sequencing capabilities to reduce latencies and dramatically improve test efficiency.
