Waldmann Lighting Introduces The Opticlux Magnification Light Featuring A T5H0 22-Watt Lamp Providing 50 Percent Greater Light Levels and "Snap In" Lenses in Strengths of 3.5 and 6 Diopters

Wheeling, Ill - Waldmann Lighting will unveil its newest magnification light at the International Machine Tool Show in Chicago on September 4-11. This new Opticlux magnifier features higher illuminance levels (over 50 percent higher than other similar magnifiers) by incorporating a T5HO, 22-watt fluorescent lamp.

Since electronic components are becoming smaller and more condensed, detailed work in electronics manufacturing and quality inspection tasks are becoming more demanding. The need for higher magnification levels from workplace lighting is more important than ever before.

The newly developed Opticlux provides 50 percent more light output needed to meet today's demanding visual tasks, without adding additional lamps or size to the fixture. Waldmann also provides a built-in electronic ballast, which provides additional energy efficiency, and eliminates plug-in or external ballasts.

Along with the standard 4-diopter glass lens, the Opticlux also has acrylic magnifier lenses in 3.5 and 6-diopters. These lenses, made from a new Cera-tec® hard coating from the Eschenbach Optik Company, produces a surface quality similar to glass, yet the plastic magnifiers are more resistant to mechanical scratches, cleaning agents, and solvents. These lenses can be interchanged together with the frame quickly and easily. The Opticlux also includes a magnifier cover attached to the light that can be removed by pressing a snap-catch, or used as additional protection against work surface glare.

The Opticlux magnifier includes an industrial-grade clamp for production bench mounting. Additional mounting options include a table base and portable stand with wheels for easy mobility, or pin mount for production workstations. The Opticlux is ideal for enhancing the visual performance for inspection and assembly applications where high or varying light and power levels are needed. A 10-year warranty is included.
