Honeywell today announced the release of their new HMC104X family of Magnetic sensors featuring compact SMT packages available in 1, 2, or 3-axis configurations for cost effective compassing and personal navigation applications.

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 3 / -- Honeywell today announced the newest additions to its magnetic sensor product line: the HMC1041Z, HMC1042L, and HMC1043 magnetic sensors designed for low field magnetic sensing. The HMC104X family of compact magnetoresistive sensors permits cost effective and space- efficient personal navigation system designs for small, portable products like hand-held devices.

HMC1042L
The HMC1042L is a precision 2-axis magnetoresistive sensor in a 3.0 by 3.0 by 0.8mm 16-pin LCC package. Pin compatible with the HMC1052L, the HMC1042L offers improved cross-field rejection required for moderate to precision compassing and navigation applications.

HMC1043
