January 18, 2011 - Designed to facilitate measurement of magnetic field components, Model DT036 helps students understand an otherwise intangible principle. Axial and radial magnetic field sensor provides 3 measurement ranges of ±0.2, ±40, and ±100 mT. Device is sensitive enough to capture vertical and horizontal components of Earth's magnetic field, provides accuracy required for measurement of coils, and delivers resolution needed to measure magnetic field of solenoids.

Fourier Systems Launches a New Axial and Radial Magnetic Field Sensor, Combining Dual Axis With Triple Range Data Collection

ROSH HAAYIN, Israel, -- Fourier Systems (Fourier-sys.com), a global pioneer in the
science education technology industry, announced today, the launch of its Dual Axis Magnetic sensor (DT036), which facilitates the easy measurement of magnetic field components, thus allowing students to directly experience and understand an otherwise intangible principle.

Because a magnetic field is a vector, it is extremely challenging to demonstrate this invisible and complex physical concept to students. Fourier's new magnetic sensor makes the unseen tangible and exemplifies Fourier's commitment to developing innovative science education technology tools.

The sensor's unique combination of dual axis measurement, together with three different ranges ([plus or minus]0.2mT, [plus or minus]40mT, [plus or minus]100mT) opens the door to a world of fascinating magnetic field experiments, enhanced by superior resolution and unbeatable accuracy. The sensor is sensitive enough to capture the vertical and horizontal components of Earth's magnetic field, provides the accuracy required for the measurements of coils and features significant resolution to measure the magnetic field of solenoids.

"Fourier's new Dual Axis Magnetic sensor addresses the call from science teachers to deliver more advanced education technology sensors and this is our answer," said Ken Zwiebel, CEO of Fourier Systems. "We are excited to introduce this sensor as one of several new products that will be introduced in 2011, including data loggers & sensors, as well as new versions of our MultiLab(TM) data analysis software."

Fourier will be showcasing the Dual Axis Magnetic sensor at BETT 2011 in Grandgall Hall - Booth N49, January 12-15, 2011, at Olympia in London.
