October 22, 2010 - Intended for applications requiring miniature motors with encoders, HEM3-256 comes in 8 mm dia package and operates from -40 to +125°C. Of 4 options, max resolution of 256 lines per revolution before quadrature offers smooth control and optimal positional accuracy. Two voltage options allow encoder to work with 3 or 5 V power source, enabling use in low-voltage battery applications, and index channel adds absolute position for accurately homing or verifying encoder feedback counts.

Miniature Magnetic Encoder HEM3-256 - MICROMO

MicroMo Electronics, Inc. announces the expansion of its encoder product line with the addition of its HEM3-256. By pushing the limits of magnetic technology, resolution increases four fold while fitting in a package size 8mm in diameter.

Pushing the limits of magnetic encoder technology, the HEM3-256 offers new possibilities for applications requiring miniature motors with encoders. Of the four options, the maximum resolution of 256 lines per revolution before quadrature offers smoother control and better positional accuracy. Two voltage options allow the encoder to work with a 3V or 5V power source allowing use in low-voltage battery applications. An index channel adds an absolute position for accurately homing or verifying encoder feedback counts. Designed for robust reliability, an operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C allows use in extreme applications.

HEM3-256 encoders are in stock for assembly to MicroMo's 0816...S, 1016...G, 1024...S, and 1224...S/SR motors.

For additional information and samples please contact a MicroMo Electronics, Inc. Application Engineer at 800-807-9166 or send an email to info@micromo.com.
