When used with Initiator 43, non-corrosive bonding agent TA459 suits assembly of copper and other electrically conductive surfaces to magnets in enclosed motors. High viscosity gel achieves 50% full strength after 15 min, increasing line speeds and reducing part rejection rates. TA459 forms bonds to variety of plated and non-plated surfaces.

Permabond Introduces TA459 Magnet Bonder with Initiator for Non-corrosive Assembly
SOMERSET, NJ -Permabond® Engineering Adhesives introduces Permabond TA459 for magnet bonding. Adhesives are the preferred method of assembling motor magnets and produce consistent and reliable results. TA459 used with Initiator 43 is non-corrosive to copper and other electrically conductive surfaces, providing fast durable bonds to magnets and metals. The non-corrosive nature makes the product ideal for enclosed motors. This is a high viscosity gel that is easy to dispense. Strength is developed rapidly, achieving 50% of the full strength in just 15 minutes. These key features can increase line speeds and reduce part rejection rates. Permabond TA459 has exceptional shear strength, and forms strong bonds to a variety of plated and non plated surfaces that resist vibration, impact and high temperatures.
TA459 is complemented by other initiator cured structural acrylic adhesives in the Permabond Magnet Bonding line of adhesives.
