STAMA VMC Features 180° Swivel Table for Non-Stop Production
System 3 from STAMA America is a line of single or TWIN spindle CNC vertical machining centers with a large 180º swivel work table design that allows both simultaneous machining operations as well as loading/unloading of workpieces. The result of this STAMA design is virtually non-stop productivity for all types of batch runs.
The key feature on System 3 machines is the rugged 180º swivel table with two separated clamping surfaces, ergonomically designed for easy access and safety. The worktable can accommodate up to 2 x 525kg (1155lbs.) workpieces, plus the unique enclosure allows free chip fall, suitable for wet or dry machining.
High rigidity headstocks are available with single or TWIN spindle technology. On the TWIN models, spindles can be provided on 266/320/400mm centers (10.47"/12.59"/15.74") for simultaneous machining of larger parts. The spindle cartridges are direct drive and are easily accessed for maintenance and changeover. Toolchangers with 42 positions are standard on the System 3 machines with up to 120 positions optional, with the patented STAMA tool management system that shortens chip-to-chip time. ISO 40 or HSK-A63 tool adapters are available standard.
Working ranges in the X/Y/Z axes are offered up to 700mm x 500mm x 400mm (27.56" x 19.68" x 15.75"). Spindle speeds to 20,000rpm and spindle torques to 200Nm process all types of materials.
System 3 machines are offered in four sizes and various configurations are available from STAMA to convert the machine to a fully operational work cell. These auxiliary options include portal loader, integrated part load/unload/storage, robotic loading via conveyor or customer transfer line integration and more. All aux functions are programmable and controlled by the powerful onboard CNC. Please contact STAMA application engineering for more details.
