Machine produces 10 micron lines on flexible substrates.
December 3, 2007 -
Designed for flex manufacturers, TE2538W utilizes roll to roll format that produces cycle time of 7.2 sec for double-sided exposure. Film transfer and automatic imaging alignment systems produce repeatable 10 micron line and space at full production speeds and quantities. Vertical transport and close proximity exposure minimizes effects of dust and foreign materials as well as defects attributed to film distortion. Working area is 260 x 380 mm.

Toray Engineering Rolls Out a New High Resolution RTR Double Side Exposure Machine for 10micron Lines on the Flexible Substrates.
Tokyo, Japan
Following the successful introduction of their double-sided, close proximity exposure system to the leading flex manufacturers in Japan and Asia Toray Engineering Co., Ltd. has agreed to increase production and open sales opportunities to companies in the U.S. and Europe. The TE2538W utilizes a roll to roll format that produces a cycle time of just 7.2 seconds for double sided exposure while occupying the same amount of floor space as a single sided machine.
Accuracies built into the film transfer and automatic imaging alignment systems produce repeatable 10 micron line and space at full production speeds and quantities. The unique vertical transport and close proximity exposure reduces the defects normally attributed to film distortion and reduces the effects of dust and foreign materials. Operating costs are minimized by using a single UV lamp source switching mechanism and parabolic mirror.
This leading edge production capability of 20 micron pitch is maintained over a large working area of 260 x 380mm with a single shot exposure of the 5 kW super high pressure mercury lamp with air cooling. Additionally, a hard contact mode is included that has a cycle time of 15 seconds with the same accuracies as the close proximity.
Detailed brochures and technical information are available by requests.
