New RIDGID® Model 122XL Copper Cutting and Prep Machine Cuts, Cleans and Deburs 1/2" to 4" Copper
ELYRIA, OH - June 2003 - Ridge Tool Company has introduced the RIDGID® Model 122XL Copper Cutting and Prep Machine, a versatile unit designed to cut and prepare copper tubing. The new RIDGID 122XL allows the user to cut, clean and debur 1/2" to 4" tubing and ream 1/2" to 2" tubing quickly and professionally. An optional, quick-change fitting brush system and storage rack allows the preparation of 1/2" to 4" copper fittings for soldering.
The new RIDGID 122XL expands the product line of copper cutting and preparation equipment to provide increased capacity.
The RIDGID 122XL saves time and effort by eliminating the need to manually revolve a cutter around the tube. The durable unit also reduces the number of tools needed on the job site because it lets the user perform multiple tasks with just one compact machine.
The RIDGID 122XL features a rugged O.D. cleaning brush and deburring disk to clean and debur the outside diameter of the tubing; a heavy-duty cutter wheel that has been tested to over 10,000 cuts on type "K" copper; and a cone reamer designed to remove turbulence-causing burrs on the inside of the tubing.
A powerful, 1/3-HP, 115-Volt, 60 Hz induction motor powers the RIDGID 122XL, driving its rollers at 300 rpm. A built-in 1/2" incremental scale enables quick and easy measuring of the tubing, and an adjustable cutting handle accommodates different tubing sizes. The machine's guide rollers ensure a straight cut with no tracking. The heavy-duty cutter wheel is designed to cut copper and stainless steel. The Model 122XL is also equipped with a large carrying handle for easy transport to and from the job site and easily mounts to the Model 1206 stand for work at the job site.
