March 16, 2012 - Offering alternative to handheld units, Machine-mounted Heated Nipper features standard nipper configuration with machine mounting holes, interchangeable blades with heating coils, and variable temperature control with digital readout for fine tune adjustment. With automatic thermostat for consistency, this standard, off-the-shelf, heated sprue nipper is suited for cutting difficult, brittle material such as polycarbonate or glass filled nylon.

SAS Automation Introduces Machine-Mounted Heated Cutter


XENIA, OHIO - >SAS< Automation, a leading robotic End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) manufacturer and supplier recently introduced a new Machine-mounted Heated Nipper.

This new standard, off the shelf machine-mounted heated sprue nipper is a more efficient alternative to hand-held units.

Significant Features:

  • Standard nipper configuration - with machine mounting holes
  • Interchangeable blades - with heating coils
  • Variable temperature control with digital readout for fine tune adjustment
  • Automatic thermostat for consistency

    Heated nippers are ideal for cutting difficult, brittle material, such as polycarbonate or glass filled / nylon.

    This machine mounted version will allow for better process control for consistency and throughput in many applications.
