Optelecom-NKF Unveils Versatile MPEG-4 Video Server

By developing the S-40 video server, Optelecom-NKF anticipated the rising demand for professional surveillance solutions based on analog camera inputs. Because of its simple plug-and-play functionality, the S-40 is the perfect solution for migrating from existing analog systems to digital video surveillance systems.

The S-40 MPEG-4 streaming video is optimized for both low bandwidth and Hi-Res DVD-quality video applications. It offers streaming audio, data, dry contacts, video motion detect, and pre-recording. The compact and stylish housing is developed to ensure a wide operating temperature range. This versatile MPEG-4 video server is well-suited for almost any CCTV or camera monitoring application.

Based on the latest DSP technologies, the S-40 video server has a dual coreMPEG-4 encoder, enabling it to simultaneously stream two different video formats to multiple IP destinations, e.g., one full frame-rate stream monitoring and one time-lapsed dedicated for storage on the i-NVR.
