Industry's First 20A, 23V Monolithic DrMOS in a 5x5mm Footprint



SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 9 -- Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MPWR) a leading fabless manufacturer of high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announces the industry's first 20A / 23V monolithic DrMOS in a 5mm x 5mm footprint.

The MP8698 DrMOS is the first in a new family of integrated monolithic Driver + High-Side and Low-Side MOSFET solutions in the smallest footprint available. Optimized for V-Core power supplies in mobile computing and graphics applications, the MP8698 features a 23V maximum input voltage and delivers up to 20A continuous load. It enables higher density power delivery at increased switching frequencies reducing the need for bulk capacitance. The combination of ultra-small footprint and high-switching frequency has enabled our customers to reduce their board space by up to 60%.
