MIL STD-Compliant XMC Card has SWaP-optimized design.

Press Release Summary:

Designed to meet data demands of mission-critical military aerospace applications, BU-67112 MIL-STD-1553 XMC card provides I/O that incorporates Total-AceXtreme® fully integrated MIL-STD-1553 component. Total-AceXtreme® combines protocol, transceivers, and transformers in one component. This design helps reduce SWaP, increase MTBF, and facilitate cooling, while channel count helps conserve XMC sites/sockets.

8-Channel MIL-STD-1553 XMC Card Delivers Maximum Performance and Reliability!

Bohemia, New York -- Data Device Corporation (DDC) introduces the BU-67112 MIL-STD-1553 XMC card designed to meet the data demands of mission critical military aerospace applications. The card’s advanced I/O incorporates DDC’s Total-AceXtreme® fully integrated MIL-STD-1553 component with unique low-power ASIC design. By combining protocol, transceivers, and transformers all in one compact component, the Total-AceXtreme® utilizes significantly less parts compared to other designs, enabling the card to deliver significant power savings and increased performance, along with a greater MTBF, and a high channel count.

Benefits include:

Reduced SWaP & Increased MTBF Compared with FPGA-Based XMC Cards

Fewer Parts = Higher MTBF & Lower Power

Lower Power Enables Smaller Power Supply & Easier Cooling

High Channel Count Saves XMC Sites/Sockets

“The BU-67112 XMC card was designed with the world’s most advanced MIL-STD-1553 technology to deliver low power dissipation, high performance, and a high MTBF”, stated George Los, DDC’s Data Bus Product Manager.
