MIL Grade Strain Gage Amplifier suits aircraft applications.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for DT and DTD series of full bridge strain sensors, military grade Model 5802 provides strain and temperature outputs from sensors monitoring critical aircraft undercarriage structure and surfaces for potential fatigue damage. Strain output incorporates microprocessor driven auto zeroing circuit capable of compensating for input offests, allowing operator to correct for any strain offsets resulting from gage mounting, material fatigue, or material deformation.

Columbia Offers Military Grade Strain Gage Amplifier to Complement Full Bridge Strain Sensor Line

Columbia Research Laboratories now offers a military grade strain gage amplifier for the DT and DTD Series Full Bridge Strain Sensors. The system will provide both strain and temperature outputs from sensors designed to monitor critical undercarriage structure and surfaces for potential fatigue damage induced by thousands of flight hours, high stress maneuvers, and landings. The strain output of the Model 5802 incorporates a microprocessor driven auto zeroing circuit capable of compensating for input offsets of up to ± 3000µª equivalent and will automatically drive the output to 0.00 VDC in the presence of input offset equivalent strains within that range. This feature allows the operator to correct for any strain offsets resulting from gage mounting, material fatigue, or material deformation. The Model 5802 offers a wide input power range and auto zeroing capability.
