Tregaskiss Offers TOUGH Products for Tough Times

-Durable, easy-to-maintain TOUGH GUN(TM) Air- and Water-Cooled Models
-Long-lasting TOUGH LOCK(TM) Contact Tips, Nozzles and Diffusers
-Easy-to-replace QUICK LOAD(TM) Liners

WINDSOR, Ontario. February 23, 2009-Recognizing the importance of providing companies with innovative, cost-saving welding products-especially in tough economic times-Tregaskiss offers its semi-automatic TOUGH GUN(TM) MIG Guns. These air- and water-cooled MIG guns are built-to-order and feature durable and easy-to-maintain components that lower the total cost of owning the products.

TOUGH GUN Air-Cooled MIG Guns are available in 350- to 650-amp models, while the water-cooled versions offer 400- and 600-amp capabilities. Both gun models include a durable cable strain relief on the front and back ends to prevent kinking and abrasion, minimizing the time and cost for cable replacement. All TOUGH GUN MIG Guns also feature Tregaskiss' Lifetime Warranty on handles and switches-if either component breaks, Tregaskiss will replace them for free.

TOUGH GUN Air-Cooled MIG Gun models feature Tregaskiss' exclusive cost-saving Double-Life Gun System: identical connections on the front and back ends. When the front end or cable becomes worn, welding operators can double the life of their TOUGH GUN MIG Gun by removing the trigger switch and gooseneck and flip-flopping them to the back end.

Each TOUGH GUN MIG Gun also includes Tregaskiss' patented TOUGH LOCK(TM) Contact Tip System. Featuring a dual-lead thread design, the TOUGH LOCK Contact Tips can be rotated 180 degrees to create a new wear position and extend tip life, and they operate at cooler temperatures than many competitive tips, minimizing downtime and cost for changeover and replacements. The accompanying TOUGH LOCK Retaining Head features a tapered design that locks the contact tip securely in place and keeps it centered to guarantee positive electrical conductivity, provide consistent weld quality and reduce costly rework.

Tregaskiss also offers its QUICK LOAD(TM) Liner system for the guns. The system allows a new liner to be installed from the front end of the MIG gun, requiring less than half the time of a conventional liner replacement.

Additionally, air-cooled TOUGH GUN MIG Guns include an aircraft-grade aluminum armored gooseneck that offers outstanding heat dissipation and withstands abuse, along with a durable tear-resistant unicable with spare switch leads-both features that provide long-lasting performance and lower operating costs. The water-cooled TOUGH GUN models feature a durable stainless steel gooseneck that is 100 percent leak tested for optimal welding performance.
