MIG Gun Nozzles minimize changeovers.
December 6, 2013 -
Featuring removable nozzle cone, Quik Tip™ HD Series Nozzles minimize frequency of changeovers associated with heat degradation and routine wear. Welding operator can replace nozzle cone without having to remove or replace entire nozzle or contact tip. Design also expedites spatter cleanup by providing access to nozzle body for spatter removal. In addition, increased wall thickness and insulating material helps nozzles withstand heat of welding arc for long periods.

BEECHER, Ill. — To minimize the frequency and cost of changeovers associated with heat degradation and routine wear, Bernard has introduced the new Quik Tip™ HD Series nozzles, featuring a removable nozzle cone. These nozzles offer an increased wall thickness and insulating material to help them withstand the heat of the welding arc for longer periods of time. The removable nozzle cone lowers downtime and costs by allowing the welding operator to replace only this portion of the consumable — the most frequently damaged — without having to remove or replace the entire nozzle or the contact tip. It also simplifies and expedites spatter cleanup by providing greater access to the nozzle body for spatter removal.
The new Quik Tip HD Series nozzles are compatible with standard Bernard Quik Tip Series contact tips, gas diffusers and insulating caps. Quik Tip contact tips feature a threaded taper lock that increases tip life by providing excellent heat transfer and electrical conductivity, and they change over quickly. Welding operators simply twist the contact tip to remove and install it, allowing them to get back to the job in moments. The Quik Tip HD Series nozzles are designed for shipbuilding, trailer fabrication and other heavy equipment manufacturing operations.
