Suited for hazardous locations, vandal-resistant Tuffseal(TM) Luminaires come in 2 and 4 ft surface-mount models that provide indoor ambient and outdoor area lighting. Units feature single-piece, stainless steel or Aluzinc-plated steel housing; break-resistant, injection-molded polycarbonate lens; and poured-in-place closed-cell wrap-around gasket. Depending on model, illumination is provided by two or three F17 or F32 T8 lamps that provide up to 46,000 hours of rated life.

New Product Introduction: Tuffseal(TM) - dust-tight, waterproof, vandal-resistant, hazardous location surface-mount fixtures for the most demanding indoor/outdoor commercial or "special need" lighting applications.

Product Applications: Tuffseal(TM) presents a two and four-foot surface-mount luminaires that provides high-performance indoor ambient and outdoor area lighting. Ideal for a broad range of highly demanding, high-temperature, damp, wet, abuse-prone, vandal-prone, and hazardous commercial, institutional and industrial environs.
Typical applications include: vehicular and subway tunnels; rail car and bus inspections; chemical plants, paper mills and treatment plants; food and beverage plants, parking garages, school gyms and locker rooms; other demanding environments.
Product Description: Guth Tuffseal(TM) is ingeniously manufactured from a linear single-piece, stainless steel or Aluzinc-plated steel housing; a flexible damage-resistant, break-resistant, one-piece injection-molded polycarbonate lens; and a poured-in-place closed-cell wrap-around gasket for durable protection against corrosion, dust, debris, water, insect, airborne pollution and particulate infiltration.
The impact-resistant optics of the precision-molded lens assures even, high-output, light distribution. An efficient reflector helps maximize light output, while a low-brightness lens sidewall reduces lamp glare. A choice of electronic ballasts provide standard output, higher lamp output or step dimming in humid or cold weather, indoor or outdoor conditions.
Construction & Finishes: Tuffseal(TM) fixtures are constructed from a one piece injected molded stainless steel or aluzinc plated steel housing, with a flexible, vandal-resistant polycarbonate lens. Tool-free stainless-steel latches provide even gasket compression and secure the lens to the housing. Depending on the model specified, illumination is provided by a choice of two or three F17 or F32 T8 energy-efficient lamps that provide up to 46,000 hours of rated life.
A closed cell, poured in place, high-temperature wrap-around gasket provides full protection against dirt, debris and water, yet allows easy hosedown cleaning of fixtures. Fixtures have an optional IP67 dust tight and temporary submersible rating.
Tuffseal(TM) fixtures are CUL 1598 wet-listed, optional UL 844 Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D; Class 2, Division 2, Groups F & G; Class 3, Temperature T3B.
