Lubrication System reduces oil use by up to 90%.
November 19, 2003 - Using Low Volume Low Pressure technology, modular MicroCoat® MC800 applies uniform coating of oil without overspray or mist. It enables metal stampers to coat stock from less than 1 in. up to 48 in. wide, and its complete, even coverage reduces need for tool sharpening and maintenance. System consists of valve controller, 1 or 2 fluid manifolds, fluid flow controls, and up to 8 precision MicroCoat valves. Valve output can be adjusted independently.

New Modular Lubrication System Coats Stock From Less Than 1" To 48" Wide, While Reducing Oil Use Up To 90%
East Providence, RI USA -- EFD's new MicroCoat® MC800 lubrication system gives metal stampers the flexibility to coat stock from less than 1" up to 48" wide with a fine, consistent film of oil. Its complete, even coverage dramatically reduces the need for tool sharpening and maintenance-while lowering oil use as much as 90%.
The MC800 uses Low Volume Low Pressure (LVLP) technology to apply a uniform coating of oil without overspray or mist. It also features a cost-effective, modular design that allows the user to configure the system with only those components needed for today's applications, while providing expandability for future needs.
The MC800 system consists of a compact valve controller, 1 or 2 fluid manifolds, fluid flow controls, and up to 8 precision MicroCoat valves. Each controller will accept 2 fluid manifolds, and each manifold will accommodate flow controls for up to 4 valves.
The MC800 is a versatile system that can be supplied with oil from a tank, pump, or central supply system. When both manifolds and all 8 valves are installed, one MC800 system will provide complete top-and-bottom lubrication for stock up to 24" wide, or single-sided lubrication of stock up to 48" wide. Each valve's output can be adjusted independently, and the controller's dual-manifold design makes it possible to apply two different oils with one lubrication system.
