Strong Epoxy Cures at -75°F

Master Bond has developed a unique curing mechanism making possible reasonably fast cures even at very low ambient temperatures. Based on this breakthrough, Master Bond has introduced Polymer System EP37LV-1, a two component, low viscosity, water and chemical resistant high performance epoxy composition capable of subzero curing. It has a superior physical tensile strength in excess of 8300 psi. The working life of the EP37LV-1 system is around 30 minutes at room temperature. The low viscosity of both components - final mix viscosity is around 5000 cps - makes mixing exceptionally easy in all temperatures. Cures occur quickly at ambient temperatures with full cures obtained in 8-10 hours while complete cures will take longer at lower temperatures.

Master Bond EP37LV-1 has superb electrical insulation properties with volume resistivity of 1016 ohm-cm. The product features excellent resistance to prolonged immersions in water, dilute acids and alkalies, acetone, toulene and other liquid media. It readily accepts high quantities of aggregates, sand and other earth materials. Its current applications range from grouting, trowelling and concrete patching in damp locations to marine coatings, floor toppings and solder substitutes for copper pipe joints etc. Bond shear strength for copper pipe joints exceeds 1350 psi. EP37LV-1 is available in pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon containers.
