New Series of NTEP-Approved Low Profile Bench Scales Are Economical Workhorses
Fairmont, MN–December 23, 2003–Avery Weigh-Tronix, Inc. introduces a new series of LOW PROFILE BENCH SCALES featuring seven models that provide durable performance, compact size and affordability. The 3700LP Series scales are available in three sizes-10" x 10", 14" x 14" and 18" x 18" - with weighing capacities ranging from 10 to 250 lbs. Designed to provide economical, workhorse performance for industrial and general purpose weighing, the 3700LP Series scales offer NTEP approved (5,000 divisions Class III) performance in a height profile 3.2-inches or less, depending on model.
"The 3700LP Series are affordable scales designed with the durability for everyday use in applications ranging from industrial to restaurants", said Tim Peterson, Product Manager. "Although these scales are very affordable, they offer standard features such as AC power operation, remote backlit six-digit LCD display with highly visible half-inch characters, soft-touch Zero, Units and Print keys, and a RS232 interface for connecting to computers and printers." Peterson added the scales let the user switch units of measure between lb, kg, g or oz, displaying two units of measure at a time, and offer an optional rechargeable battery that provides up to 75 hours of operation on a single charge.
All models offer a 16 gauge stainless steel wrap around shroud with the 10" x 10" models featuring an aluminum base, while the larger models offer a mild steel base. Each scale model is printer-ready with two autoprint functions that automatically transmit weight data to the printer when items are placed on or removed from the scale. The optional factory-installed sealed gel cell battery provides up to 500 discharge/recharge cycles, and features two power saving modes (sleep and auto shut-off) to maximize battery life between charges. The battery recharges on wall outlet power and the scale can be used while recharging. Accessories are also available including: a ball top kit ideal for package handling, display mounting options including a swivel bracket or a 12-in. pole kit, 230 VAC models, and remote footswitches for hands-free enabling of zeroing or printing.
