May 27, 2014 - Featuring hybrid microwave IC design and advanced GaAs PHEMT technology, 14 low noise amplifiers (LNAs) are capable of broadband performance between 9 KHz and 18 GHz. Ranges include noise figures from 0.8–3 dB, gain levels from 25–50 dB, gain flatness from ±0.75 to ±1.25 dB, and power output levels (P1dB or Psat) from 10–18 dBm. These connectorized SMA modules are unconditionally stable and include built-in voltage regulation, bias sequencing, and reverse bias protection.

Broadband and High Gain Low Noise Amplifiers Announced by Pasternack

Irvine, CA — Pasternack Enterprises, Inc., an industry leading manufacturer and supplier of RF, microwave and millimeter wave products, releases a new family of low noise amplifiers (LNA) capable of high gain and broadband performance between 9 KHz and 18 GHz which are widely used across the spectrum of military and commercial applications.

In Pasternack’s latest release, a total of fourteen new low noise amplifiers are offered. These low noise amplifiers provide customers with a choice of noise figures, gain levels, frequency ranges and power outputs depending on the intended use. The new LNA category exhibits excellent broadband performance from 9 KHz to 18 GHz, noise figures between 0.8 dB to 3 dB, gain levels from 25 dB to 50 dB, gain flatness from ±0.75 dB to ±1.25 dB and power output levels (P1dB or Psat) between 10 dBm and 18 dBm. The superior performance of these low noise amplifiers is achieved using a hybrid microwave integrated circuit design and advanced GaAs PHEMT technology.

The new low noise amplifiers from Pasternack are connectorized SMA modules that are unconditionally stable and include built-in voltage regulation, bias sequencing, and reverse bias protection for added reliability. Depending on the intended application of these RF amplifiers, both hermetically sealed and non-hermetically sealed versions are available. The low noise amplifiers are fully matched internally for input and output at 50 ohm, which eliminates the customers need for any sensitive external RF tuning components.

“Low noise amplifiers are an essential component used in a broad range of military and commercial applications,” says Michael Rachlin, Active RF/microwave Products Manager at Pasternack. “Our aggressive active component growth strategy is intended to satisfy market demand for a wide selection of amplifiers that are immediately available off the shelf, thus eliminating extended lead times when the customer’s need arises.”

All fourteen low noise amplifiers from Pasternack are in-stock and available to ship now. You can view the entire line of LNAs by visiting http://www.pasternack.com/pages/Featured_Products/low-noise-amplifiers.htm.  Pasternack can be contacted at +1-949-261-1920.
