Low-Noise Amplifier delivers more than 20 dB of gain.

Press Release Summary:

Operating from 6–20 GHz, Model CMD194C3 delivers greater than 20 dB of gain with corresponding output 1 dB compression point of +15 dBm and noise figure of 2 dB. Ports of MMIC are matched to 50 Ω, eliminating need for external DC blocks and RF matching. Housed in 3 x 3 mm ceramic surface-mount package, RoHS-compliant broadband amplifier is suited for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, military EW systems, and test instrumentation.

Original Press Release:

New 6-20 GHz Low-Noise Amplifier Delivers More Than 20 dB of Gain

Westford, MA – Custom MMIC (www.CustomMMIC.com),  a developer of performance-driven monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), is introducing a new 6-20 GHz Low-Noise Amplifier to its growing product library, the CMD194C3. The new packaged broadband amplifier offers low noise figure and high gain while requiring a single-supply voltage.

The CMD194C3 operates from 6-20 GHz and delivers greater than 20 dB of gain with a corresponding output 1 dB compression point of +15 dBm and a noise figure of 2 dB. The device is housed in a leadless, Pb-free, and RoHs compliant 3x3 mm ceramic surface-mount package.

The ports of the MMIC are matched to 50 Ohms, thereby eliminating the need for external DC blocks and RF matching. The CMD194C3 low-noise amplifier is ideally suited for EW and communications systems where small size and low power consumption are needed. Applications for the CMD194C3 include point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, military EW systems, and test instrumentation.
