Long Stroke Probes are designed for optimal accuracy.

December 30, 2005 - Offered with steel and beryllium copper plunger options, ICT-L Series combines ICT technology with .400 in. stroke architecture to solve pointing accuracy problems in long-stroke spring contact probes. Design results in optimal pointing accuracy, minimal binding, and reliable performance in critical functional test applications. Probes, available in .075 in. centers (ICT-L075) and .100 in. centers (ICT-L100), exhibit stable contact resistance.

IDI Introduces New Long Stroke Product Line - ICTL

Kansas City. KS--IDI is pleased to announce the availability of a new ICT-L family of probes to solve the pointing accuracy problems inherent in long-stroke spring contact probes. This product line, called the ICT-L Series, is featured in the just-released Eighth Edition of the IDI Catalog and Source Book and is now available for purchase.

Until the development of IDI's ICT-L probes, the market's long-stroke probes provided less-than-optimal pointing accuracy and were subject to binding and other mechanical problems. These problems were caused by probe designs with short bearing surfaces and long extensions.

With the ICT-L Series, IDI has introduced a significant innovation by applying their renowned ICT technology to a .400" stroke architecture. This results in better pointing accuracy, less binding, and more reliable performance in critical functional test applications. Customers will be able to contact smaller targets with much more repeatability. At the same time, users can expect to see a lower and more stable contact resistance which translates to improved first pass yields.

The ICT-L100 Series replaces IDI's SR-25 Series. The ICT-L Series is available in the .075" centers (ICT-L075) and .100" centers (ICT-L100). Additionally, the ICT-L Series offers steel and beryllium copper plunger options.

IDI, founded in 1979, is the world's largest manufacturer of spring contact probes for the Automated Test Equipment industry. For more information, including our latest Catalog/SourceBook, contact IDI at (913) 342-5544, visit our web site www.idinet.com, or e-mail us at info@idinet.com.
