New Flat Cable Locking Devices Introduced by Cooper Wiring Devices



Long Island City, New York, July 31, 2002 - For more efficient, problem-free flat cable connections, Cooper Wiring Devices has introduced a new line of Flat Cable Locking Plugs and Connectors. Featuring a unique flat clamp design, the new products allow flat cables to be terminated with conventional round cable devices easily, safely and securely.

Serrated terminal plates and contoured clamps provide dependable termination, while all-brass screws and clamps assure low-resistance connections.

Other features include back wire terminals with convenient lead-in tapes, ribbed positive grip housing surfaces, and a heavy-duty Safety Grip(TM) external cord grip. Designed to hold up to #10 gage flat cables, the new 20 and 30 amp devices are available in 4-pole, 5-wire designs. Nylon construction permits continuous use in 75°C/167°F environments. The devices are available in NEMA L2120 and L2130 configurations and a special 20 amp device designed specifically for trade show applications.
